Work, golf, and a new granddaughter

Work, golf, and a new granddaughter

Today I dropped Jamie off to head to work and then went to play golf. Poor me. I went to a very nice resort course called The Lodge at Ventana Canyon. Weather and course were beautiful and I had a great day.
The next morning I got a call at 7am that Winnie’s water broke. So I roused myself up, figured out how to get to NJ and barely made it to the airport for the earliest flight that would get me there through Los Angeles. Got there about an hour before she delivered. Gigi waited for grandpa before arriving.
She had the umbilical cord wrapped around her so had to be delivered by cesarean but mom and baby came through great and she’s a beautiful little girl. Uncle Eric came from Colorado to see her and it was the first time he held a newborn. He did great and really enjoyed relating to her. Jamie made it in on Sunday and, of course, grandma was in her glory. That girl can’t get enough of babies. I can’t believe I don’t have any pictures with mom and baby. I don’t think we have her a chance to hold her, lol.
I stayed till Thursday and had to go to work. Jamie stayed till Friday to get more grandma time in then she headed up to Michigan to get more grandma time with our other granddaughter, Cadence and to help Ashley with a bridal show she was doing with her makeup selling.
Monday we returned to Arizona.
