Vermont Teddy Bear factory
If you saw the pictures from Gigi’s dance recital in the previous post you may have seen her new teddy bear. As it turns out the Vermont Teddy Bear factory was right in Burlington. We were going to get Gigi some flowers for her recital but as we were driving we saw the factory and decided that would be a fun gift for her. While there we found out they give tours so Jamie wanted to take a tour, which we did Tuesday.
I didn’t really know much about the bears but apparently they’ve been making the bears since 1983. They make over 500,000 bears a year which are all hand stitched and come with an unconditional life time guarantee. They even have a “bear hospital” to repair damaged bears but will send you a new one if they can’t repair yours. It was an interesting tour and after that we went to the Vermont Flannel store. These are also all hand stitched. They had some very nice stuff and some of you may expect some flannel this Christmas, lol.
