Tijuana
Apparently I wasn’t as recovered from my cold as I thought cuz after Vegas I felt horrible again and called in sick for work on the 11th. After a couple down days I felt much better so on the 14th we decided to take a ride down to Tijuana. What a trip that was. We drove to the border, parked the car and walked over the bridge into Mexico. Soon as we got there we were accosted by a guy offering us margaritas in his bar. We decided that sounded like a good idea but didn’t realize it was happy hour (at 3:30) and we ended up with 2 very large drinks each. They were very good but 2 was all we could handle.
After that we walked around town for a couple hours then decided to look for dinner. We found a place called Caesar’s, which supposedly was home of the first Caesar salad so decided to give it a shot. The food there was excellent and I definitely recommend it if you ever mistakenly find yourself wandering over the border. They made the salad table side. I won’t say the best salad I ever had but worth getting. They had a couple of guitarist/singers walking around the bar which was very nice.
We walked around a little more, had a couple more drinks and made our way home. Definitely worth the trip.
