The Keys and a side trip to St. Maartin

The Keys and a side trip to St. Maartin

January 17 we headed down to the Florida keys. We booked a great little rv park called Marathon marina and rv park. It was ridiculously expensive but we got a spot right on the waterfront that offered spectacular sunsets and view. They had a nice pool and great outdoor restaurant.

The end of the month we flew to St. Maarten with some friends of ours for 5 days. We have started a tradition of going somewhere warm we’ve never been to for Super Bowl Sunday. We had never spent any time their other than a cruise and Jim used to fly there. What a beautiful island. We also did a side trip to Anguilla for a few days and that trip included a boat ride to a tiny little island called Sandy island that is nothing more than a beach with a beach bar but we absolutely loved it.

Of course we’d fine a waterfront bar for happy hour

And a great place for dinner
