The rest of 2018
From Auckland we went straight to Michigan for Thanksgiving at Jamie’s dad and step mom’s house. Ashley and Brent came up and we also spent the weekend with Sean, Staci, Jeff, Wyatt and Maddie. It was a great weekend and we ate like kings. After the weekend Jamie had another trip to Auckland. Jim planned on joining her again but the weather in Oklahoma City was looking very cold with temperatures dropping into the mid 20’s and we were concerned about the motorhome lines freezing so Jim headed back to Oklahoma City to keep an eye on her.
Jamie got back on the 28th with only two days off before we both had to head back to work. Mostly the days were spent recuperating for her but we did go out for a nice dinner one night.
After getting back from our next set of trips the upcoming weather forecast was for freezing rain and ice. That was the last straw for us and we decided to high tail it south. We took off for Houston, Tx with plans to stay for about a month or so. Jamie has friends in Houston and the weather forecast was significantly warmer. We arrived in Houston on December 6 and I’m afraid I don’t have too many pictures from there. We didn’t do a whole lot of sight seeing since we’ve been there many times. So you’re stuck with pictures from the rv park and our Christmas.
We spent Christmas at Jim’s family’s in New Hampshire this year. The nice part was our son, daughter-in-law and their daughter drove up to meet us. We don’t get to see them enough with our travels and this was the first time Jim’s mom got to see her great granddaughter. It was a great visit.
We returned to Houston for New Year’s and spent it with Jamie’s friends. After that we both went to work and when we got back headed off to Biloxi, Ms. Not a whole lot to write about on our blog this winter since we’re spending our time in the south mostly at places we’ve already been and spending time with friends but the posts should start picking up more after our upcoming time in Florida when we begin our trek back up north.
