Teton village and Grand Teton National Park

Teton village and Grand Teton National Park

Wednesday we drove to the ski resort and took the gondola to the top of the mountain for some great views. We hiked about a half hour then, as luck would have it, the little cafe happened to be open and, as luck would have it, they served beer! Then we caught the gondola back down, walked around the rest of the resort and headed out to the park. Don’t get me wrong, I’ve enjoyed our visits to our national parks and we certainly have some beautiful parks, but about halfway through I looked over at Jamie and said “yep, more mountains, more trees”. I think I’m ready for some civilization. Guess I’m no country boy. Anyway it was a fun day and we still have lots of parks to visit but I’m looking forward to Vegas.

In the meantime we’re off to Salt Lake City tomorrow. Then Friday we head east to NJ for my high school reunion and then Michigan for Ashley’s birthday. Happy Birthday, Ashley!
