Teslin and Watson Lake
Saturday we crossed into the Yukon on the way to another nothing town called Teslin. On the way we saw another large bear at the side of the road. We also stopped in a town called Watson Lake that had a very unique park called sign park. One of the army engineers working on the Alaska highway was home sick and put up a sign to remind him of home. That was about 70 years ago and it has taken off from there. They now have over 70,000 signs up. Actually over 70,000 plus one after our visit. We took a cutting board that my sister gave us and wrote in our home town and the current year and hung up our own addition to the park.
We arrived at the campground in Teslin only to find a group of our new found friends and sat around all evening with them. Next thing you know it’s almost midnight which shocked us since it was still light out. Really hard to judge the time here so we end up staying up much later than usual.
