Today was an interesting day. Jamie and her friend Kim took Cadence to church when we were in Houston and she was very curious about the whole religion thing. Not sure how baptism came up but she kept insisting she wanted to get baptized. She also wanted to go back to church. The two of them called her mom while she was with us and again Cadence brought it up during the conversation and Jamie asked what she thought about it. She said she’d be fine with it and it was kinda put on the back burner. So Jamie brought Cadence to church the following Sunday and she wanted to talk to the pastor. She told the pastor she wanted to be baptized and he really took to her and was amazed by her interest. He said he normally doesn’t do something like that without advanced planning but he was so taken by her that they called Bry right there on the spot and she agreed to it. So Cadence got baptized right then and there with a whole congregation watching. She’s so proud of herself and dozens of people signed the children’s bible she received.

Monday-Thursday was back to work for both of us. Jim headed to Newark to fly to India and Jamie, after bringing Cadence home, headed to San Francisco, her new base, for an interview to be a service manager. Good luck, Jamie.
