Renaissance festival
Next we went to a Renaissance festival they were having. Apparently it runs every weekend during the summer and turns out it was another thing Eric had been to before. If you’ve never been to a Renaissance festival and you’re not into role playing or dressing up in garb from a certain era it seem a little strange. Many of the people that attend these things really get into it. It’s not really our thing but we enjoyed the entertainment, food and beer. They did have a predator cat show that had a Siberian tiger, mountain lion, black panther and two other cats that I don’t recall what they were. And, of course, they had singing and dancing and some comedy groups. It was a fun day.
We ended it with another night out to dinner at a place that was right next door to the Frontage Street BBQ called the Cucuroo club. We noticed it when we left from dinner a couple of nights earlier and liked the music that was being played there along with the atmosphere and small plates they were serving. They had some guys playing that were retired from the Air Force band. During their break we talked to them and I told them I was also retired and that my father played in the Army band many years ago. We had some nice wine and tapas and had another great evening.
The next day we packed up and hit the road for Denver. I dropped Jamie off at the airport so she could go to work while I drove to a Freightliner dealer to take care of our two year servicing. The next day it was my turn to go to work so I dropped the rv off at a storage place we found that offers electrical hookup so we could leave the refrigerator running with all our stuff in it. And, of course, I put the satellite dish up so we could record the few shows we like to watch. We’ll both be gone almost two weeks between work and me going to visit my mom in NH and Jamie going to Michigan to visit our granddaughter. When we get back we’ll be heading up towards Boulder to spend some time with Eric.
Signing off for a couple weeks. Enjoy the pics in the meantime.
