Pittsburgh

Pittsburgh

Monday we left for Pittsburgh. We found a campground just north of the city that was very similar to the one in Charleston. A long, narrow, winding road up to a mountaintop but a very nice campground. Our plan was to spend two nights in the campground, catch up on some laundry on Tuesday, then on Wednesday we got tickets to a Pirates day game. We would spend Wednesday night at a hotel near the airport then head out for our boat charter in the British Virgin Islands on Thursday. Just another typical Jim schedule.

We got to the Pirates game thinking we had pretty good seats only to end up in the nosebleed section. The stadium was pretty empty so we tried to get into some better seats but were cut off at the pass on every attempt so we accepted our fate and stayed in our seats and watched the last place Pirates lose to the 2nd to last place Cincinnati Reds.

We also went to a great overlook called the West End Overlook for great shots of the city.
