Our trip to Michigan
The rest of April was spent with Jim working and playing golf and Jamie starting physical therapy. And a few trips to the casino. We also discovered the benefits of casino rewards cards. When the Murphy’s came to town they were staying at the Flamingo which is a Caesar’s property. Jamie got a discounted hotel stay with her rewards card so we decided to stay there too. While we were checking in they had deal that if you signed up for their credit card you got rewards platinum status for two years. I figured why not. Well boy did that turn out to be a steal. Since then we have had multiple free nights that we have taken advantage of. Actually we have to pay a resort fee that’s about $30-40 but it’s worth it. And these discounts are good at any Caesar’s world wide I believe. Although they don’t all offer discounts and it is based on availability. But definitely worth it.
May 8th we left for Michigan for a week of visiting and celebrating Jamie’s parents, Jim and Cheryl’s 50th anniversary. We started the week at Henry and Carol Ann’s house and got a couple days with our granddaughter, Cadence. We also got to see our nephew Jordan and his fiancee’s new house. From there we went to northern Michigan for the big celebration. We surprised them with a limo to take us wine tasting at some wineries and finished with a great dinner. They were shocked and we all had a great time. Jamie’s brother even came up from Australia to attend.
From there it was back to Clarkston, Mi for a mother’s day brunch with the gang down there. Was a great week.
