North for the Alaska highway

Tuesday we left for our next stop, a small town just past Jasper national park. We drove past some incredible scenery and some beautiful glaciers. They offered rides onto one of them on these huge snow trucks but the next one wasn’t for a few hours so we didn’t have time. If we had known about it in advance we probably would have done it.

Stayed overnight at a koa. This was much better than our campground in Calgary but still below what we were used to. We also started realizing that 50amp electrical service was going to be a rarity. Not that big of a deal but just have to monitor our appliance usage and not use too many heavy draw appliances together.

Next morning we hit the road for Dawson Creek and the beginning of the Alaska highway.

Hard to see but those black dots in the middle of the picture are people. That’s where you go when you take the snow truck.
