Myrtle Beach
More and more states are now closing down and telling people to stay home. We could have stayed at Stone Mountain long term but since our Myrtle Beach condo wasn’t allowing any rentals and was vacant we decided that we’d be better off putting the rv in storage and staying there while we ride this pandemic out. For one thing storage only costs $100/month while staying in the rv park was 700. For another being stuck potentially long term in a 1600 square foot condo on the beach sounded much better than a 400 square foot rv in some rv park. The picture below is the view off our balcony. You can see why we made this decision.
Well, as all good plans seem to go we had a bit of a snag. Jamie’s mom ended up in the hospital in Michigan and Jamie felt she needed to be there to assist when she got out. So I drove to Myrtle Beach with the rv, put it in storage, and moved into the condo while Jamie went to Michigan.
We’ll see how this whole thing pans out between her mom and the pandemic but at least for now, it looks like our journey is on hold. I probably won’t be posting again until we’re back in the rv so that may be a while.
Signing off for now. Jim
