Jerome

Jerome

Today we drove to the tiny town of Jerome. It was a thriving mining town in the late 1800’s that went bust when the mines shut down in the 1950’s. It then became a ghost town for many years until it was revived and turned into a great little town where real estate prices have sky rocketed and great little establishments have popped up. We had lunch at the Asylum restaurant at the Palace hotel, an old hospital turned hotel that is supposedly haunted. They even have a guest book where people have recorded their ghostly experiences. We also had a beer at the Haunted Hamburger, another trendy little restaurant. Jamie got her fill of shopping and we headed home.
