Jacksonville and St. Croix
Well, after 3 years away we finally made it “home” to Jacksonville. The rv park we wanted was booked full so we found an alternative but we’re very pleased with the one we ended up in. Of course, one day after arriving we both had to go to work. Then straight from work we went to St. Croix to check up on our place and join a few of our friends that decided to vacation there for a week. But finally after St. Croix we made it back home. Jim was supposed to go to work after St. Croix but caught a cold so had to call in sick.
Our friends were really happy to see us, a few we haven’t seen in over 3 years! So needless to say we will be very busy visiting during our time here. As much as we love our rv adventure it is nice to be home seeing our friends.
I have a feeling I won’t be taking allot of pictures here since there’s no sightseeing being done so I may be posting a few alternative pictures, like the ones I’m posting here of St. Croix. Enjoy.
Oh, the videos require an explanation. We went to a bar up high in the hills in the rain forest called the Mt. Pellier Domino Club. I saw no dominos so go figure. Anyway it’s a cool little hidden gem where they cook one dish a day and it’s wonderful. But more significant are their pigs. They have these 700 plus pound pigs that you give a can of beer to and they crush it open and drink the beer! Craziest thing I ever saw. As you can see by the video, Jamie was a little tentative. But I was proud of her, she did it. Don’t worry though, it’s O’douls, so they don’t get drunk, lol.
