Heading south
We left Minneapolis with plans to park at Offutt Afb in Omaha, Nebraska for the entire month of October since, once again, we had numerous trips planned for the month. We were meeting one of our kids in Washington Dc to visit a school that he was considering going back to school at. Later in the month we had Jim’s golf week and Jamie’s girl’s week in Myrtle Beach. We did a short side trip to Sioux City, Iowa because something told us it was a cool little city. Well, we had a great campground and campsite right on the Missouri River but the city didn’t quite live up to the recommendation. We spent two nights there and I really can’t say there were any highlights.
From there we headed to Omaha and, once again had a nice campground right on a lake. Problem with the Offutt Afb campground was they were strict about not allowing people to leave their rv’s unattended which was not gonna work for us. So after returning from work we decided to cut our stay there short. We did do some exploring in Omaha and did enjoy the city but really only spent one full day there.
We left Omaha after a week there for Kansas City where we found a place we could park for a month without worrying about leaving the rv for a couple weeks. And that’s where we are now, in the midst of our busy traveling schedule. When we get back at the end of October we’ll do some exploring of Kansas City before continuing south as it gets colder.
No pictures other than from Sioux City and one from Omaha, unfortunately.
