Tuesday we took a two day excursion in the jeep down the Oregon coast. We left Portland for Cannon Beach, a couple hours west of Portland. Hung out there and headed south, stopping at various places along the way. One place we really enjoyed was the Tillamook cheese factory. They had windows on the second floor where you could watch the entire process from making the cheese through packaging. Afterward you got to sample the cheese. It really was delicious and we would have bought some if we weren’t about to leave the motor home for over a week. The coast and beaches were very nice and we had great weather although a bit cold for us at 60 degrees.

We eventually made our way to the bed and breakfast I booked. It was really great and they went all out to make our stay great. I paid for a getaway package that included champagne, chocolate truffles and silk rose pedals. What a romantic I am, lol. Anyway they served us dinner in our room and we watched Gone With the Wind. It was a great night.
