Back to Tampa

Back to Tampa

We got to Tampa on the 22nd and parked at the Lazy Days rv resort. A very nice place. Unfortunately the biggest reason we chose it was because we needed some work done on the rv. The serpentine belt was making some noise even though it was less than a year old and the inverter wasn’t working right. We had some electrical issues at the Marathon resort and I have a feeling there were some power surges there that caused them.

We stayed at the resort till Wednesday then dropped it off at their service department and headed to the hospital for Jamie’s surgery. It was a fairly quick surgery and fortunately Jamie’s mom and Henry had booked a house not too far from there so we stayed with them while the rv was being worked on. Jim had to go to work so they looked after Jamie. We did have lunch one day at another of Jim’s “Best sandwich of America” locations called Aguila sandwich shop for their “medianoche” Cuban sandwich filled with boiled ham, serrano ham, slow-cooked pulled pork roasted in a sour orange and garlic mojo sauce, swiss cheese, salami, mustard, and pickles. It was very good.
