Architecture cruise

Architecture cruise

The next day we signed up for the Architecture boat tour along the Chicago River. It was basically a boat ride along the river with a tour guide that gives you an explanation of many of the buildings along with information on the architects that created them. Chicago goes way back and many of the buildings that were built there were designed by architects from all over the world. It was a beautiful day for a boat ride and our guide was very knowledgeable and his interest in architecture really showed.

From there we hit the Sand Bar and then the Wine bar on the river. Both pictured in our previous post. Then we went back and showered before going out to a great Italian restaurant that was recommended to us. That pretty much sums up our stay in Chicago. Some day we’ll have to go back and do some more exploring but we feel we got a pretty good over view of the city.

Can’t remember what building this is
Check out how this building has a small bottom then expands out. This creates a small footprint for a wide building
Check out the reflection of other buildings on this one

Another one I can’t remember but it has a big statue on top
