Lake Havasu
The beginning of April our friends, the Murphy’s, came out. We spent a couple days with them in Vegas then we all drove to Lake Havasu to meet with our other friends, Jeff and Monica. We took our motor home and Tiff and Lori stayed in Jeff and Monica’s rv. Lake Havasu is a little town in the middle of nowhere. But it became famous because a developer actually purchased the original London bridge and brought to the US and placed it here. Crazy. Just as crazy someone built a bar even more in the middle of nowhere where many years ago some mining was going on and aptly called it the Desert bar. It takes about 45 minutes to reach it from the main highway going about 15-25 mph over rocky dirt roads. But there it stands with live music going on and festivals held occasionally. The even built the face of a church that from far away looks like a real church in the middle of nowhere. Another of my must sees if you’re ever out there. The next day we rented a pontoon boat for the day and had a great day hanging out on the water.
