Cape Hatteras

Cape Hatteras

On to our final state. We’ve been to North Carolina before but never the outer banks. So we left Virginia for what will essentially be the last state on our journey. We chose the outer banks because there were things we wanted to see there and it seemed fitting to end our journey at the beach, our favorite place to be and a prelude of our future.

The first day we simply relaxed and enjoyed a beautiful day on the beach. The second day we removed the doors to the jeep and opened up the top and set out for the Wright Brother’s memorial in Kitty Hawk followed by a ride up the beach in Corolla where the wild horses roam.

We finished the day with a nice dinner watching the sunset. Perfect.
