Drive to Arizona
We were only booked at Camp Pendleton till the February 7 and although Winnie’s due date was the 2nd all indications were that she was still a little ways away from delivering. So to avoid having to move the rv when the baby came we decided to move on to Arizona so when the baby came we could leave without worrying. So we took off for Tucson on the 4th. On the way we heard loud jet noise and lo and behold the blue angels flew right over our rv. Apparently they were practicing for an upcoming show at a marine base nearby.
We stopped at a campground halfway to Tucson. We got there in time to enjoy an hour or so of sun at the pool and of course we meet Elvis. They were having an Elvis impersonator singing there that night. We skipped that. Next morning we left for Tucson. We had a reservation at a campground called Rincon and that turned out to be very nice. They had all kinds of activities and facilities. I have pictures of the campground but guess I forgot to get one of our site.
