Sedona

Sedona

Jamie went to training the next couple of days while Jim played some golf. He played at two beautiful courses, Troon North in Phoenix and Wickenburg Ranch halfway between Phoenix and Prescott. Jamie returned from training on the 23rd and we drove up to Sedona to spend the night. Sedona was an interesting, what I’d call “yuppie” town. It was full of holistic health types of places and chic little restaurants. We had breakfast at one then headed up to a cool place called slide rock. It’s a river that flows through some very slippery rocks that people gather to cool off from the hot Arizona sun and slide in the water flowing through the rocks. The place was packed.
After that we went to the Chapel on the hill. A chapel that was built into the rocks on top of a hill. From there we went to Montezuma’s castle. A rock dwelling built by native Americans back in the 1300’s. This was pretty amazing as it had 5 levels and extended through passageways to numerous rooms. Another of those, “how did they do thats”.
From there we drove back to Prescott and had dinner. But I’m gonna put that in a separate post called Prescott because I have a bunch more pictures that are worthy of their own post.
