2020. Nuff said.

2020. Nuff said.

It’s been exactly a year since I last posted. 2020 will be a year to remember for everyone in the entire world due to Covid. While there is no way to know how many people have died worldwide from Covid that number is in the millions. For an entire year people were restricted from going out. And when they did they were required to wear mask and stay 6′ away from other people. Who knows, maybe this will be the norm for our future generations. If so, I sympathize with them. Losing the person to person contact will change humanity forever. Of course, with technology it seems this is the way of the future, anyway.

As far as our blog and RV trip we spent April to October of 2020 helping Carol Ann get back on her feet. It turns out she had a condition called normal pressure hydrocephalus, which is fluid build up on the brain. This was corrected by putting a shunt in her brain that allows the fluid to drain. But before they could do the procedure her body had to be strong enough to handle it which took about 6 months of building her back up. And, of course, we were dealing with the restrictions and dangers of Covid along the way. But the story had a happy ending and she’s as strong and healthy as we’ve seen her in a while.

In August Jim went back to Myrtle Beach to pick up the rv and bring it back to Michigan. We decided to bring it up so we had it ready to resume our trip when we felt it was time and also allow us to spend some time with Cadence. We parked in a very nice campground not far from Carol Ann’s house and were there until early October. From there we headed south with a stop in NH to give Jim’s sister and brother in law a little vacation while we stayed with Jim’s mom. We also stopped in NJ to see Brian, Winnie and Gigi before making our way to Marathon, Fl for the rest of the year.
