Burlington, VT

Thursday we left of Burlington, VT. We found a nice campground right on Lake Champlain that had great access to bike paths that went for miles. That evening we got our bikes out and rode into town which was only a couple miles away. We found a great spot in town that was closed off to car traffic with a bunch of bars, restaurants and shops. We sat and listened to some music for a bit then had a great meal at a French restaurant.

I’m including a few days in this post as we didn’t do much to necessitate a lot of pictures. So the next day we went for what ended up being a 29 mile bike ride. We rode over a 5 mile causeway that was built for bicycles and pedestrians and included a short ferry ride to and island called Grand Isle. Over there we went to a winery and had some wine and cheese before biking home.

Saturday we drove to NJ for our granddaughter, Gigi’s, first dance recital. We had a great visit with her and Brian and Winnie and she did a great job in her recital. We also finally got to see the house they are buying. Monday it was back to Burlington.
